Lisa Dawson

Registry Services plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the University's academic processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing administrative support to students, applicants, and staff.

Lisa is a highly effective, insightful and trusted senior leader with a proven track record in delivering innovative student services for our student community through clear direction and strategic leadership.  

Early career was in public, and private sector, financial services and Further Education before joining the University of Edinburgh in 2013.  Lisa was appointed to the role of Academic Registrar in October 2022.

Lisa is a passionate promoter of women as leaders in higher education, holds the role of Deputy Chair of the Student Casework practitioner group within the Academic Registrars Council and is a Non-Executive Director and Volunteer Champion for MoveOn who provide opportunities to transform lives.
