Key documents Information on USG's structure. What we do The University Secretary's Group (USG) is one of three administrative Support Groups in the University. USG exists to provide a wide range of high quality services in support of the University’s academic mission. University TV licence The University holds a TV licence which covers all University work premises for any equipment that can receive a TV signal. The licence does not cover accommodation buildings. Educational Recording Agency licence The University holds an Educational Recording Agency (ERA) licence that permits staff to record, for non-commercial educational purposes, broadcast output of ERA's Members. Education Act 1994 The 1994 Education Act (Section 22) requires University Court, the governing body of the University, to ensure that the Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA) operates in a fair and democratic manner and is accountable for its finances.
